Event Update & New York Times Bestseller List!
Hi everyone!
I am pleased to announce that The Memory Palace made the New York Times bestseller list once again this week (#18) and will make it next week at #26. And I do believe that many of those sales are coming from my beloved indie bookstores so…PLEASE keep buying your books from your local bookstore and keep that wonderful place of discovery and intellect alive. Today, I finished reading The Memory Palace. It took me longer to read than it would have otherwise because of the strong, almost overwhelming, feelings your story generated within me. I had to put the book down many times; I couldn’t continue reading it because of the feelings and recollections about my mother. (She didn’t live with schizophrenia, but was depressed and sad throughout her life.)
The gratitude I feel towards you for writing the book is enormous; the sadness and grief I feel is not a bad thing. You helped me to feel more alive and more aware of life’s wonder, love and sorrow. For that especially, I thank you.
